What It’s Really Like Managing a Business at 18
People in my circle think I’m crazy. Maybe because I have a different lifestyle than others my age. Or perhaps it’s because my inner drive makes me choose the harder path – one most people wouldn’t even consider. I’ve always been active and loved doing physical activities. Working out is one of my passions, and it plays a fundamental part in my life. However, after I started working on my business, I got a taste of what it’s like to try to maintain a balanced lifestyle while also dealing with school and founding a startup. I have read many self-improvement books before. What really shaped my vision though was reading about how powerful planning actually is. I did my research and soon enough I built my first ever weekly to-do list in Notion.

(Trust me, this is nowhere as effective as my current ones are:))
It’s evident that everyone should manage their life somehow. Whether it comes to business or personal life. By using a planner, not only do you save a lot of energy, but after committing to a new habit, it becomes quite simple to create valuable things while focusing on your priorities.
Throughout the years, I experimented a lot by developing several different systems, using both Notion and custom codes that make my fully personalizable systems unique. Simultaneously, I also built a workflow for myself. It’s been 4 years since I first started this process, and there hasn’t been a day when I didn’t feel the need to continue working on it.
My change of mindset and the structure provided by my planners makes managing my life possible even at such a young age.
When I plan my day the previous night, I wake up with a clear mind that already has my schedule memorized. Normally, I get up at 5 AM and go to the gym before school. When I finish school, I have a quick lunch and start my work session right after, alongside my scheduled meetings. I strive to explore and keep educating myself. But most importantly, I thrive in my lifestyle because of the love I have for creating new things and offering value to others. It’s what keeps me alive every day and provides sustainability.
Lastly, I would like to give you all a really great piece of advice that you’ve probably heard dozens of times before; you need to enjoy and love what you do to achieve your desires, just like I’ve done by building my path at this age.
